You'll depart Amboseli in the morning and drive via Nairobi to the floor of the Rift Valley with hot picnic lunch en route to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for your afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approximately 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. The Mara Serena Safari Lodge has a beautiful hilltop location overlooking the rolling plains and woodlands of the Masai Mara, one of the world’s richest wildlife sanctuaries. The annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle takes place across these plains, and even outside of the migration season you can look forward to spectacular sightings.

You can spend your day on a game drive; enjoy a morning bird walk with the lodge’s resident naturalist, or visit a traditional Masai Manyatta (village). A great extra is a hot-air balloon safari where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the wildlife below and then descend to a scenic champagne breakfast served in the middle of the bush. In the evening, you can enjoy tribal dancing displays, as well as wildlife and cultural talks.

You'll spend a full day in Masai Mara, Kenya's most popular game reserve where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi. You'll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight home.
